I am a South-Central Texas Native with over seven years of dog training and daycare experience. I started by teaching group dog training classes in a retail environment for three years. Then I moved on to study dog-to-dog interactions, dog behavior, and body language while working at a collection of daycare and training facilities with various areas of focus. In October 2022 I became a certified dog trainer by receiving my CPDT-KA certification. Though not required to work as a dog trainer in Texas, I pursued my certification to provide a high-quality, professional, and modern standard of practice to clients and colleagues. These professional steps have helped me build a well-rounded background in understanding canines in all facets of their lives, including wellbeing, home life, training, physical and mental enrichment, play, and socialization. I am passionate about the positive reinforcement training philosophy as a method to give dogs a chance to learn and manage their own autonomy as confident creatures in a big, human-centric world. In my free time you can find me baking or outside gardening, birding, or hiking with my dogs, Rocko (lab mix) and Xochitl (chiweenie), and my partner, Evan.
